At the joint magazine launch and SBA Am series qualifier at Osborne last Saturday, we saw some heavy shredding from a massive cross-section of the skate scene here in Adelaide.

We gave out nearly 200 copies of the magazine, and were treated to one of the best contests I’ve ever seen in Adelaide. Without a doubt, the best vibe in a supposedly “competitive” environment, it was pretty much high fives between competitors all day in the searing heat. With  something like 30 odd skaters entered in the opens and 20 odd in the juniors, we got to see a huge variety of styles and tricks going down. Big congrats to everyone who skated, the dudes heading over to Melbourne for the SBA final, and especially to the rad dudes at Skateboarding Australia. It was definitely one of the most well run events I’ve seen.
